Every 2026 Bronco includes 4x4, but not every system works the same way. The standard setup uses a 2-speed electronic shift-on-the-fly transfer case with selectable 2H, 4H, and 4L settings. Available Advanced 4x4 adds automatic on-demand engagement through a 4A setting that can distribute power between the axles as traction changes.
Badlands® adds front and rear electronic-locking differentials, giving both axles another weapon against loose or uneven terrain. Its available front stabilizer-bar disconnect can increase articulation, allowing the suspension to keep the tires in contact with the ground when the ground has apparently decided to stop being level.
G.O.A.T. Modes® Bring Software to the Dirt
Bronco's Terrain Management System™ with G.O.A.T. Modes® adjusts throttle response, transmission behavior, traction control, and 4x4 operation around different surfaces.
Base, Big Bend®, Outer Banks®, and Heritage Edition models include Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, and Sand modes.
Badlands®, Stroppe Edition, and Raptor® expand the selection to 7 with Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, Off-Road, Rock Crawl, and Baja.
Automatic-transmission models also include Ford Trail Controlâ„¢ and Trail 1-Pedal Drive, providing additional control at low speeds when careful tire placement is more important than arriving anywhere quickly.
The Sasquatch® Package Brings 35-Inch Tires
The available Sasquatch® Package is where Bronco begins looking increasingly serious about its hobbies. It combines 35-inch tires, high-clearance suspension, Advanced 4x4, and electronic-locking front and rear differentials.
Properly configured models offer up to 11.6 inches of ground clearance, creating more space between expensive mechanical components and unfriendly geology. Badlands® can add available HOSS 3.0 suspension with FOX™ internal bypass dampers, while full-vehicle steel bash plates are offered on select configurations to protect critical hardware when rocks and ruts inevitably attempt to introduce themselves.
Three EcoBoost® Engines, Including a 418-HP Raptor®
The 2.3L EcoBoost® 4-cylinder produces up to 300 hp and 325 lbs. ft. of torque on premium fuel, while the available 2.7L EcoBoost® V6 raises output to 330 hp and 415 lbs. ft. of torque.
Bronco Raptor® escalates proceedings with a 3.0L EcoBoost® V6 producing 418 hp and 440 lbs. ft. of torque.
A 7-speed manual transmission is available with the 2.3L, an increasingly uncommon treat for drivers who prefer selecting their own gears, while a 10-speed automatic is offered across the lineup.
Two Doors, Four Doors, and Several Ways to Remove Them
The 2-door Bronco seats 4 and provides up to 52.0 cu. ft. of maximum cargo capacity. Four-door models seat 5 and expand maximum cargo room to 77.6 cu. ft. with the hardtop or 83.0 cu. ft. with the soft top. Both body styles retain removable doors and roof panels, which turns an ordinary drive through Oklahoma into something considerably more exposed to the weather, scenery, and occasional insect.
